Southern Plantation, Capt. Mike's Dolphin Adventure, Fort Jackson

Mystery; why did my text decide to underline itself? Anywhooooo, along the way to Savannah, we stopped at the Hofwyl-Broadfield Plantation. We saw more of the beautiful Spanish Moss, but what a contrast to slavery and the old plantation system.

Main house:
Slave quarters:

Couldn't resist:
I promise, there were dozens of dolphin, but, as you can see, I'm not a wildlife photographer.

Putting it in perspective:

After St. Simons Island, we visited Fort Jackson.
Replica of an Ironclad sunk in the harbor...very interesting story.

We got to see a live cannon fire.

Finally...Savannah!

This statue has a poem by Maya Angelou.
